Eurocities, Migration Work and Global Campus of Human Rights launch new MOOC on co-designing migrant integration

Is your city truly inclusive? What steps do local authorities need to take to meet the needs of refugees and migrants? If these questions are on your mind, the online course ‘Co-designing migrant integration in your city’ is for you!

At the Global Campus of Human Rights, we are proud to have been selected to co-develop this course, one of the first of its kind in Europe, with Eurocities and Migration Work , two of the leading European organisations in this area. Over the span of two years of fruitful conceptualisation, implementation, testing and refinement, we supported the creation of a tailored platform and advised on the most suitable instructional design that would fit the content provided by the project leads. We believe the outcome to be relevant and useful not only for policymakers, but also for anyone involved or interested in migrant integration.

With its six modules, each based on a ‘learn-and-apply’ methodology, the MOOC provides detailed guidance about developing integration policies in a collaborative and inclusive manner. It is mainly aimed at practitioners from local, regional and national authorities interested in developing more participative integration strategies and frameworks with the direct and meaningful involvement of those immediately affected by them. At the same time, it is a valuable educational journey that can be used by a variety of communities and audiences.

By covering the most relevant concepts for co-designing integration strategies, the different stages of the policy cycle and some concrete experiences of collaborative integration policy from cities across Europe, the course serves as an inspiration to transform the way we think about the role of migrants and refugees in our societies.

To learn more and take the course, visit ‘Co-designing migrant integration in your city’ : it is free, as all the MOOCs developed by the Global Campus of Human Rights, and is available starting from 19 November 2024.
