The University of Pretoria, with its Centre for Human Rights, is the home university of the Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA).

Activities organised in the Programme’s framework - in addition to the mobility programme seeing Master’s students moving for second semester courses to other universities in South Africa as well as to Benin, Cameroon, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Senegal, Uganda - include for instance the Nelson Mandela World Moot Court held in July every year at the UN headquarters in Geneva.
