How do I enrol in the course?

Is there a selection procedure to participate in the course?

Places are limited to facilitate networking among peers and maximize opportunities to directly ask questions to and receive feedback from the experts. Applications will be reviewed through a selection process on a first come-first served basis.

Accessibility

Is the course accessible to persons with disabilities?

The online course is hosted on the Canvas platform and it includes live virtual classes held on Zoom.

Instructure is committed to ensuring its products are inclusive and meet the diverse accessibility needs of our users. Canvas LMS strives for WCAG 2.1 Level A/AA and Section 508 conformance. Regular testing (both internal and by a third party) is conducted to identify conformance issues, with processes in place for timely remediation of accessibility issues that are identified. Canvas is a complex and broad system. The statements below are accurate as of the date indicated.

Canvas has been evaluated by Instructure and WebAIM according to WCAG 2.1 standards. Testing is regularly conducted using automated tools, assistive technology (such as screen readers, keyboard testing, etc.), and coding best practices. Third party accessibility evaluation occurs regularly with internal audits conducted with each release. Mechanisms are in place for logging and fixing accessibility defects.

Structure and content

Is there a schedule for the course or is it self-directed?

The course will be held online from 14 to 18 November 2022, including one live session each day:

  • Friday 11 November from 13:00 to 14:00 CET (technical session and introduction)
  • Monday 14 November from 13:00 to 15:00 CET
  • Tuesday 15 November from 13:00 to 15:00 CET
  • Wednesday 16 November from 13:00 to 15:00 CET
  • Thursday 17 November from 13:00 to 15:00 CET
  • Friday 18 November from 13:00 to 15:00 CET (round table)

The course is an instructor-led training, delivered through a combination of live online participation (through Zoom live sessions and Zoom breakout rooms) and individual reading and study (through pre-recorded video lectures, powerpoint presentations, reading materials and quizzes). Participants are expected to engage in approximately 25-30 hours of active learning through individual study and readings, quizzes, participation in live online sessions, debates and group works on assigned case studies.

In order to ensure to all participants the necessary time to study, revise and complete all quizzes, the online course will open one week ahead of the first live session and will close one week after the last live session, for a total of 3 weeks (7 – 25 November 2022).

All live sessions (14 – 18 November 2022) will be recorded and made available for the entire duration of the course and until 25 November 2022.

How can I check my learning from the course?

Quizzes are foreseen throughout the course in order for you to check your understanding and progress and they consist of different types of questions (true/false; yes/no; multiple choice; multiple answer; dropdown; drag and drop…). For a more effective and satisfactory learning experience we warmly encourage you to take the quizzes after having prepared for them properly and not at random.

Certificate of participation

What do I need to do to get the certificate of participation?

At the end of the course, participants who have successfully passed the intermediate quizzes and the Final Quiz of the course will receive the Certificate of completion.

Please note that participation to the training does not guarantee direct access to any recruiting procedure undertaken by international, national or regional entity.

 

Can I audit the course?

No, unfortunately the audit only option is not foreseen for this online course.
