Asia Pacific Alumni group officially formed at first MHRD General Assembly in Bangkok

MHRD graduates gathered in Bangkok, Thailand from 3- 6 May 2014 for the first Asia Pacific Alumni General Assembly. After three days of meetings, workshops and networking, the group officially formed the Asia Pacific Masters of Human Rights and Democratisation Alumni (APMA).

The APMA will be registered and headquartered in Sydney and Bangkok, and will have the dual purpose of supporting activities such as continuing education and networking for human rights professionals in the region, and fostering institutional, academic, professional and community linkages among graduates.

The formation of the APMA represents an exciting ‘next step' for the newly maturing MHRD program, and an important symbol of the strengthening network of human rights professionals in the Asia Pacific.
