Call for Papers: Global Campus Human Rights Journal Special Issue on Children’s Rights

We are excited to announce this call for papers to the Global Campus Human Rights Journal Special Issue on Children’s Rights. We welcome multi-disciplinary articles between 6000 and 8000 words (references included) in English, French and Spanish.

 

THE FOCUS OF THE ISSUE:

 

Each contribution should address selected developments, with a regional scope/impact, in the area of children’s rights. Thus, the contribution could cover, depending on the region, and the nature of developments:

 

  • developments in the region in relation to the UN and in particular the Convention on the Rights of the Child, such as important findings against States, notable topics under discussions within the Committee on the Rights of the Child, visits by UN special mechanisms, etc.
  • regional developments under the auspices of an intergovernmental organisation operational in the particular region [such as the Organisation of American States (OAS), African Union (AU), Council of Europe (CoE), European Union (EU)]. In respect of North Africa/ Middle East, the role of the Arab League may be explored; and in the Asia-Pacific, that of ASEAN, etc.
  • developments of note at the domestic level in countries within the region, and the emergence of regional trends.
