E.MA call for applications for the academic year 2017/2018

The European Master's Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation (E.MA) is a unique Master’s programme developed by 10 pioneering universities that today counts on the participation of 41 prestigious universities and human rights centres from all member states of the European Union.

The Master is a one-year advanced master’s course aimed at preparing professionals to respond to the operational requirements of daily work in international organisations, field operations, governmental and non-governmental bodies, and academia.

The E.MA Programme is taught by an exceptional faculty and offers one of the most comprehensive Human Rights and Democratisation programmes in the world. The Mater brings together experts and professors representing the 41 E.MA participating universities, officials of international organisations (including the European Union, the United Nations and the Council of Europe) and practitioners of national and international NGOs.

The multidisciplinary E.MA teaching programme is articulated in two semesters. You will be based in Venice during the first semester where you will attend lectures and actively participate in seminars and workshops, thematic clusters, skills-building sessions and project work, while for the second semester you move to one of the 41 E.MA participating universities located throughout Europe.

After the completion of the E.MA Programme you will have the possibility to participate in our internships and fellowships and you will benefit from a worldwide E.MAlumni Association which can provide career orientation, networking and job opportunities.

More information can be found here.

Applications will be processed in two rounds:
First round deadline: 20 January 2017
Second round deadline: 15 March 2017

The criteria used during the selection process are described in here.
