EIUC Summer School on Cinema and Human Rights 2009

How can films be used as an instrument for enhancing human rights awareness? At the EIUC Summer School students and professionals involved in the fields of human rights and cinema seek answers to this question - with lectures, discussions, screenings of films shown at the Venice Film Festival, meeting film directors, confronting ideas related to the issue. The fifth session of the EIUC Summer School on Cinema and Human Rights will take place in Venice – Lido, 27 August – 16 September 2009. Deadline for application, first round: 31 March 2009; second round: 15 May 2009.
