Former student now teacher for E.MA Human Rights Defenders Cluster

A student in the classroom a few years ago, Dr. Ron Helmut Herrmann returns to European Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation to teach “Monitoring and reporting of human rights violations” for E.MA Human Rights Defenders Cluster

Dr. Ron Helmut Herrmann who graduated in the first year,1998, of the European Master's Degree in Human Rights and Democratisation on the Ciudecca island, did his thesis research on “Gender analysis and women's rights as element of UN peacekeeping training for national trainers”.

He is a senior political analyst, electoral and legal expert and programme coordinator of EU Missions Among others, he headed the EU delegation to monitor the Palestinian presidential election in 2004 and he was the electoral advisor of the Delegation of the European Commission in Lebanon.
