Press Release of GC Caucasus (CES - Yerevan State University) on the Opening of the Hybrid International Conference 2021

On the 10th of May 2021, the opening of the Hybrid Global Campus International Conference on “Climate change and Children: Impact, Rights and participation” will take place at 14:00 at the Centre for European Studies of the Yerevan State University. The event is organised within the frames of the Regional Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation in the Caucasus programme GC Caucasus.

The aim of the conference is to bring together experts, representatives of States, international and non-governmental organisations, policymakers to discuss the impact of the climate change on the next generation through presentations, panel discussions and keynote speeches.

The event is organised within the frames of the Regional Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation in the Caucasus programme - GC Caucasus jointly by the Yerevan State university, Global Campus of Human Rights, the Right Livelihood Foundation, UNICEF Armenia through its "Adolescents as agents of climate action in their communities" project, funded by Austrian Development Cooperation, ShareMusic & Performing Arts, Sweden, and Small theatre of Armenia.

Welcome speech will be conveyed by RA Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports - Zhanna Andreasyan, Ambassador of the European Union, Head of the EU Delegation H.E. Andrea Wiktorin, UN Resident Coordinator for the Republic of Armenia – Mr. Shombi Sharp, Secretary General of the Global Campus, Prof. Manfred Nowak and other guests.

The working language is English (consecutive translation to/from Armenian will be provided).
