Global Campus Visual Contest: last days to apply

The Global Campus Visual Contest has been running since 2014 to give exposure to the work of amateur and professional photographers from all over the world on relevant human rights topics.

This year’s GC Contest, entitled “Free and equal in dignity and rights: images of the everyday lives of LGBTIQ+ persons”, for the first time has run completely on the Instagram account of @gchumanrights from 3 September until 8 February.

The international jury of the Contest, comprised of renowned international photographers such as Jim Marshall, Maika Elan, Carloman Macidiano Céspedes Riojas and Frank Finance-Madureira, as well as activists such Joeri Kempen, will soon give their vote to the best picture. Their vote will add to the number of total likes received on Instagram. The winning photo or photographic project will be announced on the websites of the GC visual Contest and of the Global Campus of Human Rights, as well as on our social media on the third week of February.

The best photos or photographic projects will be assembled into an exhibition that could travel and be hosted at the venues of the seven Regional Master’s programmes of the GC: Venice, Bangkok, Beirut, Buenos Aires, Yerevan, Pretoria, Sarajevo.
