22 June 2009: International Roundtable Discussion on Investment and Human Rights in New York

On June 22, 2009 in New York at the premises of Columbia Law School, Prof. Peter Rosenblum and Prof. Fabrizio Marrella have organised a high level discussion roundtable on "international investments and human rights".

Twenty-seven renown experts participated in the meeting which was organised in three sessions:

1. Mapping the field. The investment-human rights connection across different practice areas;
2. Lessons from key sectors;
3. Human Rights in the Foreign Investment Regime.

This symposium has been sponsored by the Human Rights Institute of Columbia Law School, the Vale Columbia Center on Sustainable International Investment and EIUC. In the coming months, further steps will be taken in view of publication outcomes from the conference.
