Maestro Antonio Nocera visits his next atelier @ EIUC

On 3 April 2013 Prof. Florence Benoît-Rohmer (EIUC Secretary General) and Prof. Fabrizio Marrella (Dean of the Human Rights Village) welcomed Antonio Nocera, master of sculpture, in the EIUC seat together with Councillor Bruno Filippini of the Municipality of Venice.

The reason of this visit was to welcome this internationally renowned artist in the seat where he will be working on a new project called "I libri d'acqua" in the framework of the Venice Biennale.tl_files/EIUC MEDIA/News Files/Maestro Nocera at EIUC_April2013_web.JPG

Maestro Nocera focuses his attention on the theme of "migration" seen as expression of fundamental human right also for the implication and the consequences that the migrant transition has on the characteristics and dynamics of the family's structure, in the countries of department as well as on the ones of arrival.

The masterpiece will be part of the tour of several tourists that will come to Venice for the 55th International Art Exhibition that will take place from 1 June to 24 november 2013.

The exhibition of I libri d'acqua in the cloister of Monastery San Nicolò will be an opportunity for discovering the multifaced nature of the Human Rights Village that also embraces arts as means for raising awareness among a wider public on themes related to human rights and democracy.
