Prof. Kedzia elected to the Committee on Social, Economic and Cultural Rights

tl_files/EIUC MEDIA/News Files/27_kedzia.jpgProfessor Zdzislaw (Dzidek) Kedzia from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland) has recently been elected to the Committee on Social, Economic and Cultural Rights for the term 2009 – 2012.

Professor Kedzia is the Polish national director of E.MA.

He teaches international human rights law and constitutional law.

His professional experience includes, in addition to academic career, diplomatic service (1990 – 1994) and the work in the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (1994 – 2005) where he recently was the Chief of the Research and Right to Development Branch.

In 1993, Professor Kedzia served as the General Rapporteur of the II World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna. EIUC is pleased to congratulate him on his election.
