Seminar

A seminar titled "Beyond Activism: The impact of the human rights activities of the European Parliament", was organised by the Sub-Committee on Human Rights of the European Parliament on Tuesday 27 March 2007 in Brussels at the European Parliament.

The seminar was devoted to a review of findings and recommendations in the study by same name conducted by EIUC at the request of the Parliament. Programme Link to the press release of the European Parliament The seminar was opened by Mr. Hans-Gert Pöttering, President of the European Parliament and was chaired by Ms. Hélène Flautre, Chair of the Sub-Committee on Human Rights. EIUC President, Prof. Horst Fischer, and EIUC Secretary General, Dr. George Ulrich, addressed the seminar, which was attended by several high representatives of the EU institutions and other important actors in the area of human rights.
