The 2016 edition of the training seminar for International Electoral Observers has come to an end

The 2016 edition of the professional training seminar for International Electoral Observers has come to an end.

On behalf of the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democratisation (EIUC), we would like to thank all lecturers and participants for their involvement in the seminar and for making it a successful achievement as it was.

You can see and read the storytelling of the training seminar by the hashtags #EIUCTraining and #IEODAYS. Starting from the first day, the participants introduced themselves and Demetrio Lazagna, Training Responsible, made a focus on the course and trainers. Lora Borissova, European External Action Service - EEAS Official, introduced the election observation and electoral assistance, EOMs environment, structure and implementation, and a new political context with a focus on recommendations.

The participants had a Lecture on the Electoral Observation History with Stefan Krause, who has participated in over 50 Election Observation and Election Assessment Missions, some classes with Anne Grandvoinnet Serafini (she has participated in more than 20 election observation missions), both in the I and the II module, where participants had pleasant moments.

They also had lectures with Alice Colombi, Media and Elections International Consultant, Richard Lappin, Senior Election Adviser at the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) on Money in Politics, and Andreas Jordan (he has participated in more than 30 Election Observation Missions with the EU).
