The DE.MA students leave to their 2nd semester destination
The DE.MA is a brand-new programme designed to trigger closer bonds between the two shores of the Mediterranean and to foster human rights and democracy in the Arab world. The first edition of DE.MA was launched in February 2015 with a cohort of 18 admitted students from the Arab world and from Europe.
Thursday 23th April represented the last day of the first semester of the DE.MA programme 2014/2015 and was celebrated at the Monastery of San Nicolò, Lido with a small event with the participation of the Danish Institute for Human Rights. The event marked the start of the programme's second semester in one of the 4 partner universities: Cadi Ayyad University (Morocco), International University of Rabat (Morocco), Birzeit University (Palestine), Saint Joseph University (Lebanon) and Ca’ Foscari University (Italy).
We wish to the students the best of luck in taking this next step.
