Skepticism and Adversity to Human Rights: National Experiences and Regional Challenges

The Global Campus of Human Rights international conference and promotional event will be held during the week from 10 to 13 December 2018 in Beirut. The event is organised by the Global Campus of Human Rights in partnership with the Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights, coordinated by the Saint Joseph University, thanks to the European Union funding. 

The objectives of the event are to contribute to a paradigm shift that would change the current pessimistic discourse, to make human rights and democratisation popular again and to provide hope and to show that we can successfully face the new challenges.

The conference will be comprised not only of keynote speeches but also of inclusive round tables in the attempt to bring the discussion out of an exclusively academic context and to engage with manifold stakeholders and practitioners.
